Terms of service

These Terms of Service set out the agreement between you and Chai Ventures LLC (operating as Mazehost) for the use of our hosting services, control panel, and website. By creating an account or ordering a service, you accept these Terms.

1. Who we are and what you are agreeing to

Mazehost is a brand operated by Chai Ventures LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States. Our registered address is 312 W. 2nd St #1882, Casper, WY 82601, USA. In these Terms, "Mazehost," "we," "us," and "our" mean Chai Ventures LLC. "You" means the person or organization that creates an account or orders a service.

These Terms, together with our Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy, form the full agreement between you and Mazehost. If any document conflicts with these Terms, these Terms prevail unless the other document states otherwise.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under the law of your country.
  • You must provide accurate account information, including a reachable email address and billing details, and keep them up to date.
  • You are responsible for all activity on your account and for the security of your password and any access tokens. Enable two-factor authentication where offered.
  • One person or organization per account. You may not share login credentials with third parties. Resellers and agencies may manage customer sites under a single account, but the account holder remains responsible.
  • Notify us at support@mazehost.com if you suspect unauthorized access so we can secure the account.

3. The service

Mazehost provides shared hosting, cloud virtual private servers (VPS), and domain registration. We sell the infrastructure, not the applications running on it. We are responsible for keeping the platform running; you are responsible for the websites, code, databases, and email you put on it.

Plan resources, features, and limits are listed on the shared-hosting and VPS pages and on the comparison table. Where a plan advertises unlimited storage, traffic, databases, or email, those apply under fair use as described in our Acceptable Use Policy; they are not for bulk file storage, public file-sharing platforms, video platforms, or backup dumping grounds.

We may change plan features, add new options, or retire old ones. If a change materially reduces the resources on your current plan, we notify the primary contact on the account at least 30 days in advance and, on request, move you to the nearest equivalent plan at the same price for the remainder of your current term.

4. Orders, billing, and renewals

  • Shared hosting plans are billed annually. VPS plans are billed monthly or annually depending on the option you select at checkout.
  • All prices on the site are in US dollars and exclude any taxes your jurisdiction may require. Where VAT or sales tax applies, it is added at checkout or on the invoice.
  • Services renew automatically at the end of the current term, using the payment method on file, at the standard published renewal price for the plan. Introductory or first-year promotional prices apply only to the initial term and do not carry over to renewals. The renewal price is displayed on the plan card and at checkout.
  • You can cancel automatic renewal for any service in the control panel or by contacting support before the renewal date. Cancellation stops the next charge; it does not refund the current term outside the refund window described below.
  • If a payment fails, we retry the charge and send reminder emails. Services past their due date may be suspended, and after an extended grace period, terminated. Data retention after termination is described in Section 11.
  • Domain registrations and renewals are processed through third-party registrars and are non-refundable once the registry has accepted the transaction. See the Refund Policy for details.

5. Refunds

New shared hosting plans are refundable for 30 days from the start of the initial term, no questions asked. New VPS plans are refundable for 14 days from the start of the initial term; the shorter window reflects the dedicated CPU, RAM, and disk each VPS reserves at provisioning. Add-ons (domains, control panel licenses, paid migrations to third-party platforms) are non-refundable once activated or registered. Full details, including how to request a refund, are in our Refund Policy.

6. Free migrations and free domain

  • Free migration of your existing site(s) is available on all plans. You provide the current host's access details; our team handles the move. We do not migrate content that would violate our Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Grandis and Magnus shared plans include one free domain registration (.com, .net, .org, or .info) for the first year. The free domain renews at the registry's standard price; the renewal price is shown in the control panel before each renewal.
  • If you cancel a shared-hosting plan within its 30-day refund window, the free domain either remains yours at no additional cost (if already registered) or is released if not yet claimed, at our discretion.

7. Acceptable use

Your use of Mazehost is bound by our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). The AUP lists prohibited content and conduct (illegal material, malware, unsolicited bulk email, attacks on third-party systems, resource starvation, and similar), and describes how fair use applies to plans that advertise unlimited resources. Breach of the AUP can result in suspension or termination as described in Section 11. The AUP is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Your content, data, and intellectual property

  • Everything you upload or create on Mazehost (websites, code, databases, files, email) is yours. You keep ownership of it and all intellectual property rights in it.
  • You grant us a limited license to host, cache, serve, and back up your content for the sole purpose of operating the service. We do not use your content to train AI models, sell it to advertisers, or share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • You are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload, and for ensuring your content complies with applicable law and the AUP.
  • Personal data processing is covered by our Privacy Policy, including lawful bases, retention periods, and the rights you have over your data.
  • The Mazehost name, logo, website copy, and control-panel design are our property. You may not copy, reuse, or pass them off as your own.

9. Support

Support covers the infrastructure we provide: server uptime, account access, control-panel issues, backups, migrations, DNS, SSL, and network problems. We do not debug, modify, or administer the applications you install, including WordPress themes and plugins, custom code, third-party scripts, database schemas, or deployment pipelines. We can point you in the right direction, but the fix on your application is yours to make.

Support is provided by email, chat, and the client area. Response times vary by plan and channel; current targets are shown on the marketing site. Ariadne, our AI operator, handles routine questions around the clock and hands off to a human on the team when a situation calls for judgement.

10. Backups

Shared hosting plans include daily automated backups with 7-day rolling retention, plus on-demand backups you can trigger from the control panel. VPS plans include snapshot backups you trigger on demand. Backups are a convenience, not a substitute for your own disaster-recovery practice; we recommend you keep at least one independent copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

11. Suspension, termination, and data wind-down

  • You may cancel any service at any time from the control panel or by contacting support. Cancellation stops the next renewal; the current term continues until its end unless the applicable refund window still covers it (30 days for shared hosting, 14 days for VPS).
  • We may suspend or terminate a service without prior notice for serious AUP breaches, illegal content, active security incidents, or unpaid invoices past their extended grace period. For less serious breaches, we try to contact you first and give you a chance to resolve the issue.
  • Upon termination, we retain your hosted content for 14 days so you can request a copy through a support ticket. After 14 days the data is deleted. Backups are deleted on the same schedule described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Account information and invoicing records are retained according to the schedule in our Privacy Policy to meet US tax and accounting obligations.

12. Service availability and credits

We target 99.99% monthly uptime for shared hosting and the control plane, measured at the edge. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance and is excluded from uptime measurement. If we miss the target in a calendar month on a plan you actively pay for, contact support with the affected time windows and we will credit your next invoice pro rata for the downtime beyond the target. Credits are our sole and exclusive remedy for missed uptime targets.

13. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly given in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. No advice or information obtained from us creates a warranty not expressly stated here.

14. Limitation of liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or loss of goodwill, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms or the service is capped at the amounts you paid to us for the affected service during the twelve months immediately preceding the event that gave rise to the claim.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Chai Ventures LLC, its officers, employees, and contractors from any third-party claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these Terms or the AUP. We will notify you promptly of any such claim and cooperate reasonably in its defense.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service that cannot be resolved informally within 30 days will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Natrona County, Wyoming, and the parties consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.

If you are a consumer located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply to you to the extent they offer greater protection than these Terms; nothing here takes those rights away.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes are announced by email to the primary contact on the account at least 14 days before they take effect, and the current version together with its last-updated date is always on this page. Continuing to use the service after an update takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept an update, you may cancel under Section 11.

18. Miscellaneous

  • If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect and the unenforceable provision is modified to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable.
  • Our failure to enforce any right under these Terms is not a waiver of that right.
  • You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms to an affiliate or to a successor in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Notices to you may be sent to the email address on your account. Notices to us should be sent to support@mazehost.com, with legal notices marked "Attn: Legal" and copied to the registered address in Section 1.
  • These Terms, together with the AUP, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between the parties and supersede any prior understanding on the same subject.
